Gears of War (PC)

1-Pertama kali saya terbaca berkenaan permainan ini ialah dalam majalah Gempak (atau majalah satu bumbung dengan penerbitan Gempak?). Bermula dengan konsol XBOX kemudian PC.

2-Memandangkan waktu itu XBOX pun saya tak pernah lihat lagi depan mata, rasanya memang takkan dapat main permainan ini.Terliur juga selepas membaca reviunya.

3-Bertahun tahun kemudian dengan kemudahan internet (dan perisian cetak rompak mudah muat turun serta  dibantu VPN),baru semalam saya mula bermain versi PCnya.Kebiasaan memang kalau bermain menggunakan keyboard komputer maka lebih banyak karakter yang dimainkan (Marcus Fenix) mati berbanding hidup.Sekarang bolehlah juga bermain sedikit lancar.

5-Waktu mula bermain, saya tak dapat nak save game. Jadi mulalah Google untuk mencari penyelesaiannya. Begini-

 -After your saves are vanished:

-make sure you are disconnected from the internet (turn your modem/router/network off), launch the game, go in the main menu, to the guide (windows live) – delete your active offline/online account.
-create a brand new offline account, just the name and sign in.
-Adjust your video/audio/game settings – quit the game.
-restart the game, see that it now auto login with the right new account and that your settings are being kept.
-start a new campaign and play as long as you will.
-when you leave the game, always return first to the main menu and then quit to desktop.
-IMPORTANT: from now on NEVER launch the game with an active internet connection running, if you do so, windows live will automatically start messing around during game launch and you will loose again all your saves.
I think here lays the bug with windows live.
Once you exited the game you can reconnect to the internet, but if you want to play again, disconnect first !

This of course works only for the offline account solution.
