Once before- Lee Iacocca

1-Former President of Ford Motor Company and Chrysler. Remember Ford Mustang? His the man behind the famous car.

2-Before I finished my MCE, his autobiography was my favorite book. I don't intend to review the book here. But I want to share and highlight what did I learned from this great man. I may make some mistake here(mind you I read the book in 2003) but please use your brain cell for consideration.

3-It doesn't matter what family background you come from. Lee come from an Italian immigrant family but his Dad did succeed in business before the great recession took place in the 30s.

4-Like what Bill Gate said before- respect the nerd guy, you might end up work for them. Lee did experienced this when most of his classmate make fun of his Italian background especially with the pizza vs pie comparison. You have heard Pizza Hut but have you heard Pie anything?

5-You may be a good engineer or whatever you are working with- but without good marketing skill you sure got wasted. That's what made Lee changed his course from Engineering to Marketing Dept later. And be creative. Before he got fired by Henry II, he helped the company gained $2 billion profit that particular year. With such caliber it doesn't guaranteed your career. So be careful with politic.

6-Family first, cos when you are successful or just got kicked off from higher position, they are the one behind you.

7-Be careful with the 'Man'. They have power and they also got no brain and heart.

8-Be creative(again) and be brave. Manipulate all the resource.
